This is a fully onsite role in Cicero, IL.


Schedule: Monday - Thursday extended hours (Fridays off)


Duration: Direct Hire


Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 salary plus extensive benefits


Location: Fully onsite in Cicero, IL


 


Our client, a family-owned custom gasket manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced full charge bookkeeper to manage the books, AP, and take on some HR responsibilities.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Issue weekly checks and ACH payments to vendors

  • Perform regular account reconciliations for all banking and credit card accounts

  • Enter and manage the recording of financial transactions to various journals and general ledger

  • Maintain, manage, and keep current accounts payable journals, and optimize cash flow while adhering to vendor terms and conditions

  • Prepare annual reports and tax filings, excluding personal, partnership, and corporate tax returns

  • Prepare and process weekly payroll along with compiling payroll documents and act as primary liaison with payroll service provider. Monthly accruals for financials,

  • Develop and maintain reports for management team and the owner (monthly P&L, cash flow), and provide analysis as requested

  • Maintain and manage fixed asset schedules

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statement, balance sheet)

  • Act as a point of contact for local, state, and federal governmental agencies, and our accountant to foster positive relations and address needs as they arise

  • Maintain accounts for all utilities, including electrical, telephone, internet, garbage and others as assigned

  • Manage new employee set up, including onboarding and collection of all required documents and terminations

  • Ensure HR compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and ensure that HR policies are being applied consistently

  • Record and monitor annual PTO, Health, and other Benefits

  • Perform workers’ comp audits as scheduled

  • Manage cash flows and track expenses

  • Additional projects and responsibilities to grown the position beyond the above. We love to innovate and grow!


Required Qualifications :

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Manufacturing background a plus

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office including Excel required

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting required

  • Some Human Resources experience required
