Billing Specialist

This is a direct-hire, hybrid role located in Downtown Chicago.


Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (3 days in the office)


*Training will be conducted fully onsite at the client's office.


Salary: $50,000 to $60,000 per year DOE




Our client, a prominent law firm, is looking for a Billing Specialist to add to their team!




Billing Specialist Responsibilities:



  • The Billing Specialist creates/edits invoices using the company database, Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Creates/edits spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel and Google Docs and performs data entry in the company database

  • Composes and sends client e-mails regarding new and outstanding invoices and other general correspondence at the direction of attorneys and the Billing Manager.

  • Uploads notes and documents to CRM systems.

  • Prepares and initiates daily deposits between multiple company accounts.

  • Receives and processes daily credit card payments received online and by telephone.

  • Responds to client questions and requests via phone and e-mail.


Required Qualifications :

Billing Specialist Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma required; Associates Degree preferred

  • Must be proficient in general accounting skills

  • Customer service skills required

  • Computer proficiency required including Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Docs

  • Quickbooks experience is preferred.
