Job Description :

The Merchant Marketing team is charged with attracting and retaining the best small businesses to feature on the company's website. The Marketing Copywriter will be responsible for strategic B2B communications from the company, with a focus on collateral, email and site content that supports the needs of the sales organization. The Copywriter will collaborate closely with Merchant Marketing, Sales Ops, Business Development, Merchant Development, Merchant Research and the broader cross-functional merchant team to communicate the company's value proposition in a manner that’s clear, concise, and compelling.


  • Partner with Merchant Marketing team on strategy and execution of a centralized “content hub,” including prioritization and standardization of content deliverables, as well as communication needs across the full sales life cycle (prospecting, retention, attrition)

  • Conceptualize, compose, and edit strategic communications, including sales emails, Merchant site and social media, webinars, digital video scripts, and more

  • Conceptualize content in partnership with sales vertical teams, such as merchant case studies and video; work with Merchant Marketing Specialist to execute and socialize across sales org

  • Meet with a variety of stakeholders to understand the broad sweep of messaging interests and needs

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field

  • 2-3 years experience in a marketing copywriter or editorial role

  • Ability to organize messaging points and create copy that speaks to various audiences in multiple formats (digital, video, etc.)

  • Capable of articulating ideas and presenting work to executives and peers

  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in an entrepreneurial, deadline-driven environment

  • Strong knowledge of the rules of grammar and punctuation

  • Strong attention to detail


Special consideration will be given to candidates who possess the following:

  • An understanding of the small-business audience or B2B copywriting experience

  • Working knowledge of CRM, SEO, social media, and other marketing concepts
