This is a long temporary role (with potential for permanent hire) performed in a hybrid capacity in Boston, MA.


Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-5:30pm (2 days onsite)


Pay Rate: $34-$39 per hour DOE




Our client, a renewables organization, is looking for a Payroll Administrator to join their team!


 


Payroll Administrator Responsibilities:



  • Conducting payroll operations for new hires, terminations, and updates.

  • Facilitating timely financial reconciliations and report preparation for payroll accounts.

  • Addressing employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.

  • Ensuring accurate reconciliations of payroll-related filings and employee benefit deductions including 401K, HSA, and FSA.

  • Overseeing the compliance of year-end reports and responding to payroll tax queries.

  • Managing audits related to 401k and financial statements, and handling additional payroll tasks and projects as needed.

  • Handle the day-to-day administration of benefits, ensuring all enrolled employees have accurate coverage and addressing any issues with benefit providers.

  • Maintain meticulous records of benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations, ensuring data integrity in HR information systems.

  • Assist with compliance-related tasks, such as benefits-related aspects of tax filings and preparation for audits, under the guidance of the Sr People Operations Specialist.


Required Qualifications :

Payroll Administrator Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in payroll & benefits, with a strong understanding of HR payroll and benefit best practice.

  • Proficient in payroll software and knowledgeable in benefits administration.

  • Proficient in Excel.

  • Strong understanding of payroll and benefits laws and regulations.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
